Failing disks, some SSDs, USB sticks, memory cards and laptops that no longer boot.
Data recovery
If the files still matter, stop using the drive.
I can often recover documents, photos and work from failed or unbootable storage. It is not a guarantee.
Do not keep switching the machine on to “see if it works”. That can finish a drive that still had a chance.
What I will tell you first
Whether an attempt is sensible, and if a specialist lab would be better.
Afterwards
Move the files onto a new drive and set up a backup.
